In the 1910s, the average tractor in our database delivered 36 HP. Models introduced in the 2020s average 153 HP — roughly 4× more. The chart below tracks average and median horsepower per decade of introduction; the median grows more slowly, showing that the top end of the market (300+ HP articulated and row-crop tractors) drives much of the increase.
